Website speed: why every second costs you customers

According to Google, more than half of mobile visitors leave if a page takes longer than 3 seconds to load.

Google published a number worth remembering: when a mobile page takes longer than 3 seconds to load, more than half of visitors leave before seeing it. They do not complain, they simply go to a competitor.

What Core Web Vitals are

Three measurements Google uses for ranking:

  • LCP – how fast the main element of the page appears (should be under 2.5 s)
  • INP – how fast the page reacts when you tap something
  • CLS – whether elements jump around while loading (that annoying text shift)

Where time is usually lost

  • Large unoptimised images: a 5 MB photo from the phone instead of a 150 KB WEBP
  • Too many plugins and unnecessary scripts (typical of WordPress sites with heavy themes)
  • Cheap, slow hosting
  • Fonts and videos loading before the content

How we do it

Images are converted to WEBP and the right size automatically, the code is light with no unnecessary dependencies, and the site measures its own Core Web Vitals. That is why our sites open in under a second, even on the phone.

Speed is not a technical detail: it is the customer's first impression of your business.
