We see them every week: slow pages, no clear contact, old photos. Here are the most common mistakes and how to avoid them.
After more than 400 projects, some mistakes keep showing up. None of them is hard to fix, but each one costs customers every day.
1. The site does not work well on the phone
More than half of visitors come from a phone. If the text is tiny and the buttons cannot be tapped, they leave.
2. The contact is hidden
The phone number should be visible on every page, one tap to call. A WhatsApp button often brings more enquiries than the form.
3. Stock photos instead of real work
The customer wants to see your work, not stock photos of smiling people. Real photos, even simple ones, convince more.
4. Texts about yourself, not about the customer
"We are the market leader" says nothing to the customer. "We renovate your bathroom in 10 days, at a fixed price" does.
5. No update for years
Old opening hours, expired offers, "latest news" from 2021. The site looks abandoned, and so does the business.
6. A slow site
Huge images and too many plugins. Every second of loading loses visitors and Google positions.
7. Only one language for a multilingual market
If your customers are in Germany or Switzerland and the site is only in Albanian, it practically does not exist for them.
Check your site against these 7 points. If you find two or more, a conversation is worth it.
